Group R Compounds

HNBR: hydrogenated nitrile
Commercial name: Therban Bayer (Bayer AG).
The addition of hydrogen to the compound for NBR rubbers gives them excellent elastic properties, as well as resistance to mechanical stresses and abrasion and resistance to ageing. Such variations are more appreciable at high temperatures (150°C). The range of fluids with which the use of this rubber is compatible also extends.
