Commercial name: Hypalon (Du Pont).
These rubbers present an excellent resistance to the factors that accelerate ageing, a good level of electrical insulation and a reasonable resistance to breakage. The presence of chlorine makes the rubber flame resistant and gives it self-extinguishing properties. It is not suitable for use in contact with many fluids of mineral origin, but resists well to contact with acids, base chemicals and many oxidative agents.
